Advancing education to tackle antimicrobial resistance

The AMR Education Global Collaborative is a global forum supporting the implementation of global AMR education. Grounded in a One Health approach, the Collaborative brings together policymakers, educators, researchers and practitioners to strengthen antimicrobial resistance (AMR) education, with a focus on children and adolescents as agents of change.

AMR education: A shared vision
Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global threat with consequences across human, animal and environmental health. Education is essential to support infection prevention, responsible antimicrobial use, and sustained behaviour change.
The Global Consensus on AMR Education sets out a shared global vision for what children and adolescents (aged 5–18) need to know to act as agents of change, while recognising the need for local adaptation. The Collaborative exists to help translate this vision into coordinated action, implementation and impact.
