We are proud to share that TIME has recognised Lord Darzi, Executive Chair of the Fleming Initiative and Co-Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation, as one of the world's most influential leaders in health.
TIME highlighted Lord Darzi's independent investigation into the state of the National Health Service (NHS) in England. In the face of growing challenges both internally and externally, his report has driven renewed commitment to modernize and improve the vital health service.
Antimicrobial resistance represents one of the challenges faced by all healthcare systems and necessitates sustained and collective action to protect people.
As Lord Darzi said, “There is no path to either wellbeing or growth without prioritising health."
